The System, the Instructors and  Our  Role.

To borrow a phrase from AT&T, at MEDStrength... 
 ..."Our Personal Training System is the Solution.” ​

Our Resistance Training Exercise System is the only one of its type in the world. When executed properly, it addresses all the physiological requirements for improving mind and body. The system works.

Our role as instructors is to help you effectively engage the system. We do that by insuring safety, coaching you to maximum effort, recommending ways to deal with the needed discomfort of intense effort and tracking and managing progress.

While our personalities are different, our application of the system should be identical. That means that you will have the same experience regardless of the instructor on duty at the time of your workout. The focus is on your workout and you safely getting the most out of it.

This gives you the freedom to schedule your training sessions to fit your life, rather than an instructor's. This is the only way to sustainable success.


"I was once fat, taking three prescription medications, and using a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. I looked and felt like crap and the future looked pretty dim. I turned it all around doing the opposite from the traditional way of losing weight and getting fit. I excised less. I ate more. I dropped 40 pounds, the meds, the CPAP and the sleep apnea. I've been teaching others to do the same since 2003.

I train once a week, eat a ketogenic diet and get out and enjoy these beautiful mountains when I can. I continue to meet the Marine Corps height/weight standards and my doc says "Keep doing what you're doing."  So, it works. 

I've been on both sides of the fitness fence, I can tell you that life is better when your on this side. You feel good, look good,  and move easily without pain. That makes for an exciting future.

"Originally from New Hampshire, my husband and I retired to Asheville in 2012.  Most of my career was spent in the legal field until 2009 when I decided to pursue my passion to teach yoga and share its health benefits.

I love being an exercise instructor for MedStrength.   It is so rewarding to help our clients achieve their personal health goals while infusing aspects of yoga into their workout; witnessing their transformation is amazing!"
