I work with people who are self-motivated to solve the array of problems that physical atrophy causes, and are seeking a safe, effective, and time-efficient way to solve them.

For the past twenty-one years I have developed and refined an exercise program that combines the best of strength training with the best of cardiovascular training, so that anyone, regardless of their age, size, shape, or athletic ability can achieve their fitness goals in 20 minutes a week.

How do I help you get in shape with 20 minutes of exercise a week?

First, I make the distinction between physical activity and exercise.

  • Physical Activity is movement that results in energy expenditure. Walking, gardening, Pilates, yoga, etc. are physical activities. Physical activity is feelings-based and/or need driven. You do what you enjoy or what needs to be done.  

  • Exercise is the planned, structured, application of effort that has the sole objective of improving physical fitness. Exercise is intellectually based, and data driven. You do what’s required.

I don’t confuse the two, so you’ll get the most out of both.

Second, I reduce exercise to its essence: a stimulus that forces the body to improve.

Research indicates that it's the intensity of effort, not the duration of activity, that drives change. Our aim is to apply minimal controlled stress to your body, prompting a holistic improvement response.
